When working with Mehreen and Jonathan, they wanted to celebrate both their families and their cultural upbringings. Mehreen, the bride, was born and raised by a Pakistani Family here in the United States, and Jonathan, the groom, was raised on Long Island, NY by a Jewish Family. They were able to provide an amazing weekend of events full of love, culture, music and food, and of course, the bringing together of two families. Friday evening the families were treated to a traditional Pakistani Wedding Ceremony, and then the weekend continued on Sunday where Creative Concepts was lucky enough to be their planner for the final day of the weekend. The two families came together for a Wedding Reception at the Waterview in Monroe, CT, where I was also blessed to act as a Justice of the Peace on their behalf. Although legally married just two nights earlier this “vow renewal” was a way to celebrate Jonathan’s family and their traditions but still respecting Mehreen’s family’s cultural wishes as well.
